One on one therapy is provided via a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. We offer 45 or 60 minute sessions for anyone age 12 and up. Some common reasons a person may begin therapy include:

Growing in a group setting can be supportive and empowering. Currently we have two groups.

Our LGBTQ+ support group is for those 18-25 and focuses on mutual support and community building while navigating this transitional life stage.

Our group for parents of LGBTQ+ children and teens is open to any adults caring for queer kiddos. The space is designed to be both nonjudgmental and challenging, as you learn from parents who have “been there; done that.”

Psychological evaluations typically entail a comprehensive interview, observations, and/or clinical diagnostic measures (e.g., rating forms, interpreting pictures, hands-on exercises).

The goal of an evaluation is usually to obtain a diagnosis to (a) better inform your treatment if it hasn’t been working (b) apply for benefits, such as Medicaid, or (c) provide a pathway to certain types of medication options. Other reasons may be for entrance to certain schools, programs, or professional fields.

Dr. Hernandez is licensed in both NY and IN and is able to provide either one-time or ongoing supervision to licensed and pre-licensed doctoral-level clinicians. Her supervisory style is developmental, cognitive-behavioral, and narrative in style. Dr. Hernandez also uses her background in education and learning sciences to offer strong pedagogy in her supervision. She can provide specialized supervision in LGBTQ+ affirming care and school-systems support.

Dr. Hernandez holds a doctorate in School Psychology and is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. Dr. Hernandez has been conducting LGBTQ+ DEI training since 2016 and her program continues to develop and expand for the quickly changing LGBTQ+ community. Dr. Hernandez will work collaboratively to tailor her program to fit the needs and time constraints of your organization or group.
