About the Practitioner
Danielle Hernandez, PhD, HSPP, NCSP
Dr. Hernandez (she/her) received her doctorate in School Psychology from Indiana University where she also earned a master's degree in Educational Psychology. As an undergraduate she studied Secondary Education and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies at Gettysburg College. Her clinical psychology internship was completed at a residential treatment facility that centered on animal-assisted therapy and nature-based interventions.
In practice, Dr. Hernandez has developed a focus on working with queer and trans individuals, especially those living with intersectional marginalized identities. This is a journey she continues on every day as she keeps up with professional training, current events, and clinical considerations.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Hernandez also works as a clinician, clinical supervisor, and diagnostic specialist with a university in a diverse Chicago suburb.
Personally, Dr. Hernandez identifies as a queer, asexual, polyamorous, Boricua. In her free time, she enjoys making art, skating, playing with clothes, being in the woods, and visiting friends.

Our groups are currently open for enrollment!
Once groups are filled, they will be closed and reopen at the end of the current cycle. All groups run a total of 8 weeks at a time. Re-enrollment is optional.
